On the Brest Region State Archives’ Conducting a Lecture-Lesson at School No.14 in Brest

On February 10, 2026, Olga Sukharevich, a first-category archivist with the Brest Region State Archives, conducted a lecture-lesson on the genocide of the Brest region population during the Great Patriotic War at Brest Secondary School No.14 named after E.M.Fomin. Six eighth-grade students participated in the event.

The lesson utilized documentary materials posted in the «Investigation of a Criminal Case of Genocide» section of the website of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus.

The event included a presentation of a banner exhibition of archival documents, «There Was a War… There Was a Victory!», prepared by the Brest Region State Archives, and a screening of the documentary film, «The History of the Great Victory», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents.
