On the holding of classes for students of the Vitebsk State Technological College at the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region as part of the «Young Archivist» project

On February 11, 2026, as part of the national «Archives for School» campaign and the «Young Archivist» project, classes were held at the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region for students of the Vitebsk State Technological College majoring in office management.

The theoretical aspects of compiling and preparing inventories were covered in a lecture by V.P.Kokhanko, Head of the Document Use and Publication Department, on the topic «Archival Inventory as a Basic Archival Reference». To reinforce this information, a workshop was organized, where college students were able to learn, using specific examples, the basic elements of archival inventories and the process of compiling them during the scientific and technical processing of documents.

After completing the classes, the future office management specialists visited the workrooms and one of the archival repositories, where they learned about the document storage conditions in the archive.
