On a Visit to the State Archives of the Brest Region by Students of Brest Gymnasium No.6

On January 30, 2026, 8th-grade students from Brest Gymnasium No.6 named after Marshal of the Soviet Union G.K.Zhukov visited the State Archives of the Brest Region.

During the meeting, the students learned about the storage conditions for archival documents in the archives.

Particular attention was paid to the preservation of historical memory. The students received a lecture on the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War, including a demonstration of archival documents. The lecture also included documentary materials posted in the «Investigation of the Criminal Case of Genocide» section of the website of the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Belarus.

The event concluded with a screening of the documentary «On the 80th Anniversary of the Liberation of Brest from the Nazi Invaders», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents.
