A team from the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and national state archival institutions took part in an intellectual historical quiz

On January 29, 2026, a team from the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus and national state archival institutions took part in the intellectual historical quiz «We are given the right to remember…».

The quiz was organized by the Council of the Minsk City Trade Union Association to preserve the memory and historical truth of the heroic feat of the Belarusian people in the Great Patriotic War and to strengthen team cohesion among employees of institutions and organizations in Minsk, in accordance with Resolution No.12/155 of the Presidium of the Council of the Minsk City Trade Union Association dated December 17, 2025.

This was the first time the quiz was held. The venue was the Orbita Hotel Complex in Minsk.

The team was led by Oleg Sergeevich Strenkovsky, Leading Assistant of the Department’s Document Management, Ideological Work, and International Cooperation Department, and Svyatoslav Valentinovich Kulinok, Deputy Director of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus, served as the team’s coach.

The players were supported by Vladimir Iosifovich Zubrik, Chairman of the Minsk City Organization of the Belarusian Trade Union of Employees of State and Other Institutions, and Yulia Anatolyevna Zadiran, Chair of the Department’s Primary Trade Union Organization.

Sergey Anatolyevich Shkrudnev, Chairman of the Minsk City Trade Union Association, welcoming the participants, noted the importance and relevance of such intellectual competitions, including the areas of legal education and patriotic upbringing.

A total of 16 teams participated in the event. The team from the Belarusian Trade Union of Industrial Workers emerged as the strongest. The host and co-author of the quiz questions, Yana Aleksandrovna Lebedinskaya, Deputy Chair of the Commission on Culture and Interethnic Relations of the Youth Parliament under the National Assembly, noted that the Department’s team answered the most difficult questions.
