The Krichev Zonal State Archives held a themed event as part of the «Archives for Schools» and «Young Archivist» campaigns

In anticipation of the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Crime of Genocide, Honoring Their Dignity, and the Prevention of this Crime on December 8, 2025, as part of the «Archives for Schools» and «Young Archivist» campaigns, Victoria Kondratenko, lead archivist at the Krichev Zonal State Archives, held a thematic event, «Day of Remembrance of Victims against Genocide», for students from interest groups at the Krichev District Center for Supplementary Education for Children and Youth «Krechut».

Day of Remembrance of Victims against Genocide is a day of mourning and remembrance for those who suffered the horrors of genocide. It is a day when we remember the victims and express our solidarity with those who experienced these tragedies. It is important to remember this to prevent the recurrence of such crimes in the future. The children were treated to a poster exhibition, «War Through the Eyes of Eyewitnesses», and a screening of a documentary film, «The History of the Great Victory», produced by the Belarussian State Film, Photo, and Sound Documentation Archive.
