On an introductory talk and tour of the archival repository for members of the Viber community «Travelers’ Club»

On November 20, 2025, staff from the Zonal State Archives in Mozyr organized an introductory talk and tour for members of the Viber community «Travelers’ Club».

The community members learned about the archive’s main activities, the composition of documents, their search, and their practical use. They were particularly interested in genealogical documents. After the talk, many expressed a desire to sign up for the reading room to research their family tree.

Tours were organized for the community members: to the archival repository, where they learned about the storage conditions and the specifics of working with them; and to the archival document exhibitions «Soldiers of Victory» and «A Yellowed Leaf Folded into a Triangle».

The event concluded with a screening of the documentary film «The History of the Great Victory», prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Soviet People’s Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Before the screening, E.V. Domashkevich, Head of the Department of Information and Document Use, briefed the audience on the film’s history and the main stages of the Great Patriotic War depicted in it.
