Participation of the National Historical Archive of Belarus in the IV Skalaban Readings «Understanding the Past and Present through Documentary Evidence»

On November 20, 2025, the IV Skalaban Readings «Understanding the Past and Present through Documentary Evidence» took place, organized by the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus. The conference is dedicated to the memory of the renowned Belarusian historian, archivist, and literary scholar Vitaly Vladimirovich Skalaban (1947–2011).

The National Historical Archive of Belarus was represented at the conference by Olga Volkova and Aksana Zenko, employees of the Department for the Use of Documents, Information and Publication Activities, who made presentations on the topics, respectively, «Documents of the Fund of the Kamissiy pas tsentsy i likvidatsyі war strata inflicted on the population by the First World War. Poland’s Central Liquidation Administration as a krynitsa of the historical German acupation of Belarus (paved by the Dzyarzhaunaga Archive of the Brest Region and the Zanalnaga Dzyarzhaunaga Archive of the Brest Region) Maladzechna)» (the report is included in the plenary program meetings) and «But Who Are We and Where Are We From…» (Some Facts from the Biography of E.V.
