Students from Belarusian State University visited the State Archives of the Minsk Region

On October 31, as part of the national «Archives for School» campaign, first-year students from the Faculty of Geography at Belarusian State University visited the State Archives. Staff conducted a tour, during which the students learned about the history of the archive’s formation and visited the archival storage facility.

The students also viewed the exhibition «Great Victory. Without the Right to Be Forgotten», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory Day. In the reading room, the participants viewed authentic documents about the Great Patriotic War and the perpetuation of the memory of those events, as well as about prominent Belarusian figures.

The students took the opportunity to ask archivists questions about the unique documents in the State Archives, their storage, the specifics of the departments’ work, and more.
