On the Participation of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus in the National Cleanup Day

On October 25, 2025, a national cleanup day was held. It continued the glorious historical chronicle of creation, rooted in the distant past and largely predetermined by today’s peaceful and comfortable life for Belarusians.

Such initiatives are an excellent opportunity for team building and for effectively spending time on Saturday.

During the Year of Improvement, the main focus of the October cleanup day at the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus was cleaning and improving work areas and premises, as well as improving memorial sites.

Before the cleanup day, a ceremonial meeting was held, at which the archive’s management spoke. Archive Director A.K. Demyanyuk spoke about the traditions of holding cleanup days in our republic and noted the importance and significance of these events. The second documentary exhibition in the series of projects dedicated to the Year of Improvement, «Improvement of the Country through the Lens of Time (Post-War Period)», was presented to archive staff.

Some employees of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (NARB) participated in the improvement of the graves of the former archive director and veteran of the Great Patriotic War, A.M. Karpachev, and the head of the Belarusian archival sector, V.I. Adamushko.

NARB ideological activists participated in a cleanup day on the grounds of the Pervomaisky District Social and Pedagogical Center and Shelter, as well as in the Victory Park cleanup.

NARB employees also participated in a cleanup day organized by the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.

The majority of the archive’s staff worked in the buildings at 116 Nezavisimosti Avenue, 12 Makaenka Street, Bldg. 1, and at 116 Makaenka Street. Kozlova, 26. Archive staff tidied up their work areas, archive storage rooms, and other areas.

Musical entertainment was provided for the archivists during the workday, and tea was served afterward.
