Archivist’s Day at the State Archives of the Brest Region

On October 6, 2025, a ceremonial meeting of the staff of the State Archives of the Brest Region was held to celebrate their professional holiday – Archivist’s Day.

The event was attended by E.S.Leshchishina, Head of the Main Department of Justice of the Brest Regional Executive Committee; Ya.F.Stelmashuk, First Deputy Head; and N.M.Kralko, Head of the Department of Archival Institutions, Notaries, and Civil Registry Offices. They thanked the archive’s staff for their work and congratulated them on their professional holiday.

At the ceremony, E.S.Leshchishina, Head of the Main Department of Justice of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, presented I.G.Romanovich, archivist of the Department of Preservation and Collections, with a Certificate of Honor from the Main Department of Justice of the Brest Regional Executive Committee.

To mark this professional holiday, the work of the State Archives of the Brest Region was covered by the media.

On October 3, the Belarus 4 TV channel, Brest Television and Radio Brest, filmed a news report about the archive’s work in the archive.

On October 6, Archive Director Anna Karapuzova appeared on the Brest Television and Radio Brest program «Morning Espresso», where she answered a series of questions about the archive’s current operations (see 14:25 mins onwards).

On October 7, Brest Television and Radio Brest’s «Gorod FM» radio broadcast «In the Spotlight», where A.G.Karapuzova gave an interview about the archive’s main activities and ongoing work.
