A ceremonial staff meeting at the Polotsk Zonal State Archives dedicated to Archivist’s Day

On October 6, 2025, a ceremonial staff meeting was held at the Polotsk Zonal State Archives dedicated to their professional holiday, Archivist’s Day.

Acting Director O.A.Berezina congratulated her colleagues on their professional holiday, expressing her sincere gratitude for their diligent work and dedication to archival affairs. She wished them success in their work, new professional achievements, good health, and well-being. She emphasized the importance of archivists’ mission in preserving and popularizing historical heritage.

A letter of gratitude from the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus was presented to Olga Pavlovna Sukhostavskaya, Lead Archivist, and Maria Olegovna Semchenko, Second Category Archivist in the Document Security and Preservation Department.

Archivists are presented with a photography exhibition, «ARCHIVE MOMENTS: A LOOK THROUGH THE LENS». Each photograph is more than just an image; it’s a story captured in a single instant. The exhibition features archival photographs that tell the story of significant events, everyday life, and culture across eras. These images allow us not only to see what the archive and archivists looked like in the past but also to sense the emotions of the people captured in them.

In keeping with tradition, the staff’s trade union committee organized a celebratory tea party.
