The Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art celebrated the centenary of Naum Kislik’s birth

On September 26, 2025, a roundtable discussion dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Belarusian poet, prose writer, and translator Naum Zinovievich Kislik was held at the Belarusian State Archives-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BSAMLI) as part of the literary meetings «On the Wings of Artistic Words».

The event opened with a welcome address from the archives-museum’s director, Elena Makarenko, who emphasized the significance of Kislik’s legacy for Belarusian literature and culture.

Leading archivist Tatyana Anpilogova presented the literary and documentary exhibition «I Am Right in My Words». Guests had the unique opportunity to explore manuscripts, photographs, and letters from Naum Kislik’s collection, revealing the writer’s creative path and biography. Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus Valery Nikolaevich Shushkevich read lines from Naum Kislik’s poems.

A particularly touching moment was the video address to those present from the writer’s brother, Valerian Kislik. Close friends and relatives of the writer also spoke. Natalya Adamovich spoke about the heartfelt friendship between Ales Adamovich and Naum Kislik. The poet’s niece, Nadezhda Kislik, expressed gratitude to the staff of the archive-museum for organizing the anniversary event, which brought together people who remember Naum Kislik and value his creative legacy.
