On the thematic lesson held as part of the republican project «STEP» – «School of Active Citizenship» at Secondary School No.4 in Novogrudok named after P.A.Mazura

On September 25, 2025, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and the republican project «STEP» – «School of Active Citizenship», an information hour was held for fifth-grade students at Secondary School No.4 in Novogrudok named after P.A.Mazura.

N.A.Pisaruk, Head of the Document Preservation, Accounting, and Use Department at the Zonal State Archives in Novogrudok, participated in the thematic lesson «We Are Citizens of a Peaceful and Safe Country», aimed at fostering active citizenship and respect for historical heritage in schoolchildren. Natalya Anatolyevna spoke to the students about the history of the archival institution, its goals, objectives, and main areas of activity. Using a virtual exhibition project dedicated to the history of education in the Navahrudak region, students learned how archival documents are used for the benefit of society and the state and the importance of carefully preserving the history of their small homeland.

During the lesson, students asked questions, listened attentively, and discovered new facets of civic responsibility. Such encounters are an important step in nurturing conscientious and caring citizens of their country.
