Opening of the Documentary Exhibition «City Improvement – Improving the Quality of Life of Lida Residents in 1944-1970»

On September 24, 2025, the Yanka Kupala Lida District Library hosted the opening of the documentary exhibition «City Improvement – Improving the Quality of Life of Lida Residents in 1944-1970», prepared by staff of the Lida Regional State Archive. The exhibition features over 80 copies of archival documents documenting the city’s efforts to return to civilian life, the improvement of Lida during the difficult post-war years, and the stages of its infrastructure development in the 1950s and 1960s, efforts to address municipal issues, and the implementation of creative landscaping projects aimed at significantly improving the quality of life of Lida residents.

Schoolchildren from Secondary School No.11 in Lida attended the exhibition opening. The exhibition is located in the reading room of the Yanka Kupala Lida Regional Library, and any library visitor will be able to view it for a month.
