On the Visit of Students from School No.9 in Brest to the State Archives of the Brest Region

On September 17, National Unity Day, and as part of the «Archives for School» campaign, ninth-grade students from Brest Secondary School No.9 named after A.F.Naganov visited the State Archives of the Brest Region.

Olga Sukharevich, an employee of the Document Use and Publication Department, spoke to the students about the events of September 1939. During the lecture, the students viewed an exhibition of archival documents dedicated to the reunification of Western Belarus and the Byelorussian SSR, featuring documents and photographs documenting the first events of the Soviet regime in the western regions of Belarus reunited with the Byelorussian SSR.

The students were given a tour of the archives, including a visit to the archive storage facility and a laboratory for the repair and restoration of archival documents.
