A Unity Day Lesson for Students of Mogilev Secondary School No.45

As part of the National Unity Day celebrations and the «Archives for School» campaign at the State Archives of the Mogilev Region, a lesson was held for 11th-grade students of Mogilev Secondary School No.45 on the events of the autumn of 1939, which led to the restoration of the national unity of the Belarusian people. The students viewed the documentary exhibition «National Unity Day» and the banner exhibition «Let’s Look Back at the Past Again».

The documentary film «Reunification», produced by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, was shown in the assembly hall. It is based on newsreels from 1939 and is dedicated to the unification of the Belarusian lands. The students also visited the archival storage facility and document digitization lab, where they were able to see how documents are stored and how archival documents are digitized.
