Festive Event and Film Lecture for National Unity Day at the Rechitsa and Loyev District Military Enlistment Offices of the Gomel Region

On September 16, 2025, an event titled «The Strength and Unity of the Belarusian People in Historical Memory» was held at the Rechitsa and Loyev District Military Enlistment Offices of the Gomel Region to commemorate National Unity Day. It was organized by the Rechitsa District Veterans’ Council and Officers’ Union. Representatives of the district leadership and the military enlistment office spoke, and artists from the Rechitsa City Palace of Culture presented a musical program.

S.A. Zharnosenko, Leading Archaeologist of the Information and Documentation Department of the Rechitsa State Archives, also spoke at the event. Sergei Alexandrovich explained the basics of National Unity Day in Belarus and showed them the BGAKFFD documentary «Reunification», which illustrates the process of the reunification of Western Belarus with the BSSR in the fall of 1939.
