A ceremonial meeting of the staff of the National Historical Archives of Belarus dedicated to National Unity Day

On September 17, 2025, a ceremonial meeting of the staff of the National Historical Archives of Belarus was held in the conference hall of the National Historical Archives of Belarus to celebrate the national holiday, National Unity Day. On this day, our country celebrates a momentous event in its history – the 86th anniversary of the reunification of the Belarusian people.

In 1921, following the Soviet-Polish War of 1919-1921, the state border crossed Belarusian soil, dividing Belarusians for the next 18 years. In 1939, the people of Belarus once again became united and gained the opportunity to build a common future.

National Historical Archives of Belarus Director Mikhail Glushakov congratulated his colleagues on the anniversary of this significant event.

As part of the Unified Information Days for the third quarter of 2025, the topic «National Unity Day: The Importance of Peace and Harmony» was discussed. Deputy Director of the National Historical Archives of Belarus Natalia Buloichik spoke about the fundamental socioeconomic transformations resulting from the reunification of Western Belarus with the Byelorussian Soviet Socialist Republic and the achievements of a united and independent Belarus today.
