The Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa presents a document on awarding the title of «Honorary Citizen of Rechitsa» to S.M.Tsytsura

Sergey Mikhailovich Tsytsura (1923–2017) is a participant in the Great Patriotic War, an honored power engineer of Belarus, Ukraine, and the CIS. Even during the war, he assembled radio receivers that served as a source of information for underground workers about the situation at the front. In September 1943, he was enlisted in the Red Army as a signalman. With a field radio station, Senior Lieutenant Tsytsura marched through Poland, Hungary, Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, Germany, and Austria. In the post-war period, he headed the Rechitsa Electric Network Enterprise and the Rechitsa Department of Energy Supervision, having done everything possible to electrify populated areas and agricultural enterprises.

Rechitsa did not remain indebted to the outstanding power engineer. In accordance with the decision No.211 of the Rechitsa City Executive Committee dated April 2, 1997 (F. 342. Op. 3. D. 236. L. 67), Sergei Mikhailovich Tsytsura was awarded the title of Honorary Citizen of Rechitsa.
