Molodechno archivists at school assemblies: history, parting words and books as a gift
On September 1, the first bell rang in Molodechno schools, marking the beginning of a new school year. The festive assemblies became an event where traditions, inspiration and concern for the future met.
Among the honored guests of the celebration at Secondary School No.14, where first-graders and eleventh-graders were honored, was Inna Pudakevich, director of the Zonal State Archive in Molodechno.
«Today, school is like a large ship ready for a new voyage. On its deck are those who have boarded for the first time and those who can already see the «horizon of graduation in May». First-graders and eleventh-graders are two poles of school life, and its beauty lies in this contrast. Do not be afraid of the path. Teachers are nearby, like reliable compasses, and parents, like stable sails. Let this school year be a year of discoveries, good deeds and real achievements for you. Let the school be bright – from knowledge, friendship and respect. Bon voyage! «- Inna Zenonovna wished the heroes of the occasion.
In a solemn atmosphere, the director of the zonal state archive handed over to the school valuable publications prepared by the Department of Archives and Records Management within the framework of the project «Library of the Union State». These books were not just a gift, but a contribution to the intellectual and spiritual development of students. A special moment of the ceremony was participation in the transfer of books on behalf of the President of the Republic of Belarus – as a sign of deep state support for the educational sphere and cultural enlightenment.
The connection between the archive and Secondary School No.14 is systemic: since last year, a cooperation agreement has been in effect, including joint projects and educational initiatives.
The festive assembly at Secondary School No.12 was also attended by representatives of the archive — the head of the department for the use and publication of documents Elena Tomkovich and archivist Maria Mechkovskaya. They addressed the schoolchildren with parting words, emphasizing the importance of memory, knowledge and respect for historical heritage. The connection between the archive and the school has long gone beyond formal visits — many students have already visited the archive several times, participated in excursions, projects, and creative meetings. This dialogue between generations continues: as a gift, the schoolchildren were also presented with books from the «Union State Library» series — as a contribution to the formation of cultural and civic identity, and as an invitation to further research of the past for the sake of a meaningful future.
The archival service continues to participate in the education, support and inspiration of the younger generation. History here is not only in documents, but also in words, actions and attention.
