On Knowledge Day, the Zonal State Archives in Novogrudok held the «Archives for School» campaign

On Knowledge Day, September 1, 2025, the Zonal State Archives in Novogrudok held the «Archives for School» campaign for 4th grade students of V.G. Gakhovich Novogrudok Secondary School No.3.

During the meeting, the students learned about the history of the archival institution, its goals, objectives and main areas of activity, the composition and chronological framework of the stored documents.

In continuation of the unified first lesson – «Relay of generations: preserving the past, creating the future» and as part of the Year of Improvement, the students got acquainted with the virtual documentary exhibition «Novogrudok through the prism of decades ..»., prepared by the state archive. The documents and photographs of the exhibition project tell about the improvement of Novogrudok in the second half of the 20th century, including its post-war restoration, landscaping, construction of new streets and residential areas. Novogrudok entered the new century significantly renewed. During the conversation, the students discussed the importance of preserving the historical heritage, spiritual values, experience and traditions passed on to us by past generations in order to increase the achievements of the Belarusian people through their work.
