July 18, 2025. Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus Evgeny Kovalenko visited state archival institutions
On July 18, 2025, Minister of Justice Evgeny Kovalenko visited individual state archival institutions in the capital and the Minsk region.
The program of the trip includes the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art, and the Belarusian State Archive of Scientific and Technical Documentation.
During the visit, the head of the department got acquainted with the organization of the work of archivists, and also studied the material and technical condition of the archives. The heads of the institutions reported to the Minister on the key areas of activity and the fulfillment of the target indicators of the subprogram «Archives of Belarus» within the framework of the State Program «Culture of Belarus for 2021-2025».
Particular attention was paid to the issues of preserving and digitizing the documentary heritage, as well as the conditions for storing unique historical materials.
