Conducting a seminar on archival work and records management by BGAMLI at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus

On June 27, 2025, leading archivists of the Department of Archives of Organizations and Formation of the NAF of the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art N.P.Prin’ko and O.I.Mozolevskaya, headed by the director of the archive-museum E.A.Makarenko, held a training seminar for employees of the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus responsible for record keeping and archive management.

During the seminar, issues were considered regarding changes in legislative norms in the field of record keeping and archival work, the procedure for the activities of the expert commission of the organization, the compilation of a nomenclature of cases in the organization, requirements for the design and formation of cases, their preparation and transfer for storage to the archive. Particular attention was paid to the creation of inventories of cases of permanent and temporary storage, the procedure for the destruction of documents with expired storage periods.

Conducting training seminars allows updating the existing knowledge of employees of organizations — sources of staffing of state archives, improving the organization of document flow, optimizing the process of working with the archive and providing access to the necessary information.
