The National Archives of the Republic of Belarus presented exhibitions of archival documents within the framework of the 19th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States

On June 24-25, 2025, the 19th meeting of the Council of Ministers of Justice of the Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held in Minsk. The Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as the Department) and the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as NARB) took an active part in the information support of the event.

On June 24, a banner exhibition «The Archival Industry of the Republic of Belarus at the Present Stage» was opened for the delegation members at the National Library of Belarus. Introducing the exhibition, the Director of the Department O.L. Voinov placed the main emphasis on strengthening the material and technical base of archival institutions and on issues of cultural and educational work among young people.

Deputy Director of the NARB, Ph.D. S.V.Kulinok presented a banner exhibition «Republic – Partisan», and the head of the publications department U.A.Kolobaeva spoke about the publishing projects of the archive.

In the archive of the NARB, documents on the participation of natives of Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in the partisan movement in the occupied territory of Belarus were presented to the international delegation. The Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus E.I.Kovalenko presented copies of these documents, as well as new publishing projects to the heads of the delegations.

On June 25, in the lobby of the «President Hotel», a documentary and banner exhibition on the history of the genocide of the Belarusian people, as well as shelves with the publishing projects of the NARB were presented to the participants of the forum.

The presented documentary materials tell about the crimes of the Nazis and their accomplices against the civilian population of occupied Belarus, the genocide of the Belarusian people, the monstrous facts of reprisals against the civilian population during the Great Patriotic War. The documents tell about the Nazis carrying out punitive operations, creating places of forced detention and extermination of the civilian population, burning Belarusian villages.
