Participation of BGAML in the Republican scientific conference dedicated to the 125th anniversary of the birth of the classic of Belarusian literature K.Chorny

On June 24, 2025, the Republican scientific conference «Kuzma Chorny: about a man, life, Belarusian» was held at the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the Yanka Kupala Institute of Literary Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The conference was opened by A.A.Kovalenya, Academician-Secretary of the Department of Humanities and Arts of the NAS of Belarus, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor; A.I.Lokotko, Director of the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the NAS of Belarus, Academician of the NAS of Belarus, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Doctor of Architecture, Professor; I.V.Saverchenko, Director of the Yanka Kupala Institute of Literary Studies of the Center for Research of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the NAS of Belarus; A.M.Dudik, Director of the Publishing House «Belarusian Science» and others.

The Director of the Belarusian State Archives and Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) E.A.Makarenko also addressed the participants of the event with a welcoming speech. In her speech, she thanked the organizers of the conference, touched upon the problem of the low interest of students and master’s students in philology in working with the documents of the archive-museum, and expressed hope for the expansion of cooperation between BGAMLI and the institutes of the Department of Humanities and Arts of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The problem field of the conference was reflected in the work of such sections as: «Creative history of Kuzma Chornag in the literary, philosophical and cultural history of the XX-XXI centuries», «National literary classics: current aspects of learning», «Schmataspectnasts of humanitarian studies», «Current literary processes: prospects for development» and «Textualistic studies of Kuzma Chornag: traditions and avatars».
