The «Archives for School» campaign at the Zonal State Archives in Lida

On June 17, 2025, the institution «Zonal State Archives in Lida» was visited by students of grades 2-3 of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.17 in Lida», attending a summer school camp. Lessons on the topic «Introduction to Archival Affairs» were held for the students, and sightseeing tours of the archive with visits to exhibitions were organized.

The archive staff also held master classes on the topic: «I am learning to write with a bird’s feather».

The students learned how documents are received in the archive for storage, how a quick search for information is ensured among a large array of documents and archive funds, their safety and use. The children spent their time usefully and were able to try themselves in the role of archivists.
