On holding a ceremonial meeting at the State Archives of the Gomel Region

On June 9, 2025, a ceremonial meeting dedicated to International Archives Day was held at the State Archives of the Gomel Region. Director of the archive, Yuri Shestopalov, congratulated his colleagues on the international holiday, thanking the team for their high professionalism in their work. He wished the employees further success in their archival work and presented well-deserved certificates and gratitude to the most distinguished employees.

The chairperson of the primary trade union organization of the archive, Svetlana Primakova, spoke about the history of the International Archives Day. She also presented gratitude to activists for their conscientious work and responsible attitude to their work. Svetlana Primakova especially emphasized the efforts of young specialists of the archive, who are just starting their professional career.

The event was continued by young specialists – archivist Anastasia Artemyeva and archivist of the 1st category Victoria Rudenko. Anastasia Artemyeva told the employees about archival work in Italy. And Victoria Rudenko covered the history of archival work in China, accompanying the information with interesting slides.
