On the information hour held by the employees of the institution «Zonal State Archive in Orsha» within the framework of the International Archives Week

As part of the International Archives Week and the republican campaign «Archives for School», on June 5, 2025, the head of the department of the State Archives in Orsha, Maria Nikulina, held an information hour «History of the Archival Service of Belarus» with the 8th grade students of the state educational institution «Secondary School No.16 in Orsha».

During this event, the children got acquainted with the history of the formation and development of the archival service of the Republic of Belarus, the existing network of archival institutions, their structure, scope of activity, archive acquisition zones, the availability of archival funds, features of storing cases and areas of work with archival documents.

At the end of the event, the leading archivist of the document use department, Yulia Gryadovka, conducted a tour for the students of the institution around the stand exposition of the exhibition of archival documents «Do you want peace? Remember the War!», dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War.
