On the event held by the State Archives of the Gomel Region as part of the republican campaign «Archives for School»

On May 15, 2025, employees of the State Archives of the Gomel Region held a lecture and film lecture for 2nd-year students of the Francisk Skorina State University. Head of the Office Work Department, Formation of the National Archival Fund and Archives of Organizations Tatyana Khinevich told the students about the legislative documents on office work of the Republic of Belarus. She dwelt in detail on the issues of office work, document work processes, as well as the terms, storage conditions and procedure for transferring documents to the regional archive.

Senior researcher Maya Vashchenko showed the students documents from the period of the Great Patriotic War on the awarding of partisans and spoke about the exploits of the partisan heroes of the Gomel region. The students were shown documentaries of the Republic Belarus and the Republic Kazakhstan about the heroic contribution of all the union republics to the Victory over fascism.

Head of the Department of Records and Preservation of Documents Svetlana Primakova showed and told students about the specifics of preserving documents in the archive storage during the excursion.
