Virtual exhibition of documents «There was a war… There was a victory!» in the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region

The State Archives of the Vitebsk Region has prepared a virtual exhibition of documents «There was a war… There was a victory!» The exhibition presents documents from the archival fund of the «Republican Unitary Enterprise Radio and Television Center «TV and Radio Company «Vitebsk» of the National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus».

Since the organization of the television studio in 1960, its guests were often participants of the Great Patriotic War, and the fund contains the texts of their speeches. The memories were subjective, fragmentary and require additional research, but they are an interesting source on the history of the war and are being introduced into scientific circulation for the first time.

It should be noted that the exhibition presents only a part of the documents available in the fund.
