«Patriotically, sincerely and with an orchestra: Molodechno archivists continue to congratulate veterans on Victory Day»
Molodechno archivists congratulated WWII veteran Elena Petrovna Golovan and concentration camp prisoner Zinaida Alekseyevna Lebedeva on Victory Day with deep respect and gratitude. These women are living witnesses of the terrible trials that befell their generation, and a symbol of fortitude, courage and unwavering faith in victory.
With the outbreak of the Great Patriotic War, Elena Golovan, despite her young age, found herself in the center of the fight against the enemy. Having just finished fifth grade, she did not stand aside and became a scout for the Kutuzov partisan brigade. Knowledge of her native places, the ability to navigate in forests and resourcefulness helped her carry out difficult tasks, successfully deceiving even the most experienced pursuers. Elena Petrovna Golovan contributed to the Victory, and today her memories are an invaluable legacy for future generations.
Zinaida Alekseyevna Lebedeva survived the horrors of a fascist concentration camp, where every day was a struggle for life. Despite the inhuman conditions, she retained her fortitude and faith in liberation. Her story is a reminder of the price at which freedom was won.
A festive concert was held at the windows of these steadfast women. Pupils of the children’s art school performed Victory songs, filling the city streets with solemn melodies that resonated in the hearts of all those present. The orchestra and young artists created an atmosphere of gratitude, respect and memory.
Representatives of the local vertical of power, public associations and work collectives attended the event. Molodechno archivists noted: the stories of these heroines will live in documents, in the hearts of people, in the memory of generations.
