Deputy Director of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region Tatyana Buevich took part in the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Great Victory in the Name of Peace and Creation (on the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War)», organized by the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus

On May 6, 2025, the International Scientific and Practical Conference «Great Victory in the Name of Peace and Creation (on the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet People in the Great Patriotic War)» began its work at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

The conference brought together historians from Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan. The conference participants considered issues of modern approaches to covering the events of the Great Patriotic War, international relations on the eve and during the war, themes of key battles of the Great Patriotic War, the genocide of the Belarusian people and others.

With the report «Organization of the partisan movement in the Vitebsk region (July 1941 – 1942 gg.): Based on the memoirs of Ivan Tarasovich Gutsev, secretary of the Mekhovsky underground district committee of the Communist Party (bolsheviks) of Belarus, and archival correspondence of the Vitebsk group of partisans», Deputy Director of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region Tatyana Buevich spoke at the conference.
