The Central Laboratory held a film lecture «History of the Great Victory» for senior pupils of Minsk Gymnasium No.42 named after Zh.I.Alferov

The management of the State Institution «Central Laboratory for Preservation of Documents of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus» held a meeting with senior pupils of Minsk Gymnasium No.42 named after Zh.I.Alferov on the eve of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War as part of the «Archives to School» campaign.

The students were very interested in the banner exhibition «We stood firm and won» presented by the NARB, which was located in the lobby of the gymnasium.

Then, in the assembly hall, before watching the documentary film «The History of the Great Victory» created by BGAKFFD, the director of the Central Laboratory V.L.Klyuiko and the chief engineer of the laboratory, member of the board of the Belarusian Union of Officers V.A.Vitushko spoke, emphasizing the mass heroism of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, the importance of preserving the historical truth in the face of modern challenges and readiness to defend the Motherland.

After watching the film, the director of the laboratory V.L.Klyuiko handed over to the library of the gymnasium the publications of the archival service of Belarus «Partisans of the Belarusian Land» and «Archives. Nothing but the Truth».

Deputy Director of the gymnasium for educational work S.A.Drozd warmly thanked the archival service of Belarus for the very important action «Archives – to School» for the patriotic education of the younger generation.
