Remembrance Day: Patriotism Lesson at Rechitsa Pedagogical College
On May 2, 2025, as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and Remembrance Day dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory, the Rechitsa State Archives held a patriotism lesson at the Rechitsa State Pedagogical College.
The first part of the lesson was called «In Spite of All Deaths!» Rechitsa archivists told and showed students documents of the personal origin of the archive’s founder, WWII veteran Anver Rakhmatullich Romazanov (1923-2015). A native of Bashkiria, he fought on the Volkhov and Kalinin Fronts. In 1944, after being seriously wounded and shell-shocked, he was discharged. He graduated from the Karakalpak Pedagogical Institute and taught in schools in Central Asia, the Urals, Moscow, and Rechitsa.
In the second part of the lesson, the documentary film «The History of the Great Victory» prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents was presented to the future teachers.
