Memorial Day was held at the Zonal State Archive in Novogrudok

On April 30, 2025, the Zonal State Archive in Novogrudok held a Memorial Day dedicated to the heroic feat of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The director of the state archive, A.S.Zabelinskaya, addressed the staff with an opening speech, emphasizing that the tragic events of the war affected every Belarusian family to one degree or another, and today it is especially important to preserve the historical truth and memory of the Great Patriotic War and pass them on to future generations. Alla Stepanovna presented a stand exhibition «Dedicated to the memory of our loved ones ..»., which tells about the fates of the relatives of archivists – participants, veterans of the Great Patriotic War. Documents, photographs, awards – employees of the state archive took an active part in the preparation of the exhibition and during the event, everyone shared the story of their family associated with the war years.

At the end of the Day of Remembrance, a screening of the documentary film «The History of the Great Victory» prepared by the Belarusian State Film, Photo and Sound Documentation Archive was organized.
