Organization of the screening of the documentary film «The History of the Great Victory» at BSUKI

As part of the events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, on April 23, 2025, the Belarusian State Archive-Museum of Literature and Art (hereinafter referred to as BGAMLI) and the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts (hereinafter referred to as BSUKI) organized a screening of the documentary film «The History of the Great Victory», created by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents with the participation of the Department of Archives and Records Management of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Belarus.

Students and faculty of BSUKI took part in the screening. The leading researcher of BGAMLI Dmitry Sergeevich Samokhvalov addressed the participants. He spoke about the significance of Victory Day for the Belarusian people and all of humanity, the work of documentary cameramen during the Great Patriotic War, and the documentary heritage of that era, which is kept in the Belarusian archives. After watching the film, a discussion took place in which students shared their impressions and thoughts about the events of the Great Patriotic War.
