About the film screening organized by the State Archives of the Brest Region at the Brest State Technical University
The State Archives of the Brest Region takes an active part in events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, and also continues to participate in the implementation of the Open Film Archive project.
On April 17, 2025, the Brest State Technical University hosted a single information day «The Feat of the People to Live for Centuries» with the participation of the State Archives of the Brest Region.
Archivists organized a screening of the documentary film «The History of the Great Victory» for students, prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents.
The leading archivist of the Department of Use and Publication of Documents Veronika Krishchenko told those present about the Open Film Archive project, how the film was created, and on the basis of what documents.
The event also featured a banner exhibition of archival documents prepared by the State Archives of the Brest Region, «There Was a War… There Was a Victory!», which will be on display at the university until April 22, 2025.
