Participation of the Rechitsa State Archives in a Seminar-Workshop for History Teachers of the Rechitsa District

A seminar-workshop on the topic of «Improving the Professional Competence of History Teachers in Forming Civic Consciousness and Patriotism in Students in Classes and Extracurricular Activities» was held at Secondary School No.2 in Rechitsa. At this event, teachers and guests of the seminar shared information and experience in civic-patriotic education and training of students in educational institutions.

Employees of the Zonal State Archives in Rechitsa were also invited to the seminar-workshop. During their presentation, they demonstrated documents stored in the archive on the topic of the Great Patriotic War: interrogation protocols, commission reports, lists of exterminated Soviet citizens, photographs of burned villages from the collection of the Extraordinary State Commission of the USSR for the Investigation of the Crimes of Fascism, personal documents from the collection of Hero of the Soviet Union D.D.Valentik. The documentary film «The History of the Great Victory» prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents based on the newsreel materials stored there was presented to the attention of those present.
