Improving financial literacy: important steps to protect personal funds were discussed at the ZGA in Molodechno

A meeting of the workforce with Elena Abramyan, chief specialist of the retail banking services and products sales department of the Central Bank of Belarus No.601 in Molodechno, was held. The event was aimed at improving the financial literacy of employees and familiarizing them with important aspects of the modern economy.

During the meeting, Elena Abramyan spoke about the prospects for the development of the digital ruble, and also shared recommendations for protection against online fraudsters. Thus, special attention was paid to the security of financial transactions and the importance of a responsible approach to managing personal funds.

In addition, the archive employees were provided with explanations about the upcoming changes related to the need to open accounts for pensioners from July 1, 2025. Social payments, including pensions, will be credited only to basic accounts. Elena Abramyan emphasized the importance of timely contacting the bank to open a basic account or re-register a current (settlement) account. To complete the procedure, you must have an identity document and write an application, which the bank will forward to the relevant agency responsible for paying pensions. This approach will ensure a convenient and comfortable transition to new conditions.

The meeting not only strengthened the archivists’ trust in banking services, but also became an important source of knowledge for them, necessary for a confident existence in the conditions of modern economic realities.
