The primary organization of the Belarusian Union of Women of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus took part in the Plenary Session of the Women’s Conference «Memory of the Great Victory»

On April 11, 2025, the Minsk city organization of the Belarusian Union of Women organized a conference «Memory of the Great Victory» in which more than 600 women of various professions took part: teachers, doctors, administration employees, industrial workers. The National Archives of the Republic of Belarus was represented by the chairperson of the primary organization of the Belarusian Union of Women M.A.Starostenko.

In the first part of the forum, representatives of the organizations visited iconic places in the capital – the Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War and the National Art Museum. The second part included a presentation of the exhibition «Women of the Great Victory» and a plenary session. The leitmotif of the meeting was the theme of preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War and the fate of women of war. The National Archives of the Republic of Belarus also presented documents from the family archive of the Deputy Head of the Department of Information Retrieval Systems V.Yu.Monzul about the participation of his grandmother Loseva Serafima Iosifovna in the liberation of the Motherland.

The conference was attended by delegations from the Moscow, Tula, Smolensk, Murmansk regional branches of the Union of Women of Russia. Deputy State Secretary of the Union State Elena Bogdan, women from China and Kyrgyzstan also joined in with a welcoming video message.

During the conference, schoolchildren told stories about the exploits of women during the Great Patriotic War. Creative presentations were complemented by performances by artists. They performed well-known and beloved songs of the war years.

The conference ended with a joint performance of the song «Victory Day».
