«Archives for School»: a sightseeing tour for students of the interstate educational institution of higher education «Belarusian-Russian University» in the institution «State Archives of Mogilev Region»

As part of the republican campaign «Archives for School», on April 8, 2025, the institution «State Archives of Mogilev Region» was visited by first-year students of the interstate educational institution of higher education «Belarusian-Russian University». Employees of the department of scientific use of documents and information told the students about the specifics of the work of archivists, the main areas of the archive’s activities, the composition of the documents that are in storage.

The students were presented with a banner exhibition «Again, let’s look closer to the past», dedicated to the events of the Great Patriotic War and the post-war restoration of the city of Mogilev. The students visited the archive storage, reading room and document digitization laboratory. At the end of the excursion, the guests were shown the film «Operation Bagration», prepared by the institution «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents» (Dzerzhinsk).
