Ceremonial meeting in the Central Laboratory: «Our strength lies in unity»

On April 2, 2025, a ceremonial meeting of the staff was held at the state institution «Central Laboratory for Document Preservation of the National Archival Fund of the Republic of Belarus», dedicated to the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia.

The director of the laboratory V.L.Klyuiko, speaking to the employees, emphasized the deep meaning of this memorable date: «Unity Day is not just a symbol of our common past, but also a solid foundation for the future. For centuries, Belarus and Russia have together defended their values, culture and sovereignty. Today, in the context of global challenges, it is especially important to maintain and strengthen cooperation in all areas».

Deputy Director S.I.Mezga spoke about the history of the creation and structure of the governing bodies of the Union State, noting the key areas of joint work: economic integration, cultural and scientific exchange, joint projects in the field of archival affairs and the preservation of historical heritage. «Our common path is not only politics and economics, but also the preservation of memory, documents that testify to our common history. This is exactly what we do in our laboratory», he added.

The event was not only an occasion to remember common historical roots, but also a reminder that modern challenges can only be overcome in unity and cooperation. The laboratory team continues this work, making a significant contribution to the preservation of documentary heritage.

The meeting also reviewed the results of the laboratory’s work for the first quarter of 2025. It was noted that all departments had successfully completed their planned tasks for the restoration, digitization, microfilming and binding of archival documents. The planned work on the current repair of the automatic heating and hot water supply system in the heating station has been completed, which will contribute to more efficient use of energy resources and comfortable conditions in the workplace. The director of the laboratory, V.L.Klyuiko, thanked the employees for their conscientious work and wished them further success.
