Without Statute of Limitations. Unconquered: as part of the international media marathon, archivists from the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents and the Zonal State Archive in Molodechno presented their works
As part of the media marathon «Without Statute of Limitations. Unconquered», on March 27, 2025, a film lecture was held at the Rodina cinema with a screening of the newsreels «Partisan Republic» and «Chronicle of the Era», prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents. The audience was students from schools in Molodechno.
Before the start of the film screening, Mikhail Garelik, Deputy Head of the Department of Use and Information of the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, spoke to the schoolchildren, noting the importance of popularizing archival documents. One of the films is dedicated to the activities of Belarusian partisans, the second was prepared for the 100th anniversary of Belarusian cinema.
In turn, in the cinema foyer, the employees of the Zonal State Archives presented a documentary exhibition dedicated to the genocide of the Belarusian people in the Molodechno, Vileika, Volozhin and Myadel districts.
«Such events are primarily aimed at forming moral values and social responsibility among young people. Preserving the memory of the genocide of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War is not only a tribute to the victims, but also an important step towards strengthening peace for future generations», – noted Elena Tomkovich, head of the department for the use and publication of documents of the Zonal State Archives.
