Documentary exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus

On March 21, 2025, the state cultural and leisure institution «Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus» celebrated its centenary. As part of the ceremonial event, the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus (hereinafter referred to as NARB) presented a documentary exhibition dedicated to this significant event.

The exposition organized by the archive presents unique original documents dedicated to the history of the creation of the House of the Red Army: Protocol No.2 of the meeting of the Council of People’s Commissars of the BSSR on finding funds for the organization of the House of the Red Army in Minsk; Resolution No.1428 of the Council of People’s Commissars of the BSSR on the progress of construction of the House of the Red Army; Protocol No.214 of the Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party (bolsheviks) of Belarus on the opening of the House of the Red Army; Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the BSSR on awarding the District Officers’ Club with the Honorary Diploma of the Supreme Soviet of the Byelorussian SSR, and others.

The exhibition also features documents from the Byelorussian Partisan Movement Headquarters: diagrams and reports; reports from partisan brigades and detachments on combat operations; histories of partisan detachments and brigades; handwritten publications by partisans describing their combat activities; award documents and combat characteristics of partisans.

The documents of the NARB aroused genuine interest and attention of numerous guests who participated in the ceremonial celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus.
