On holding events in the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region as part of the «Archives for School» campaign

On March 17–21, 2025, an internship was organized at the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region for students of the Vitebsk State University named after P.M. Masherov, studying in the specialty «historical education». The purpose of the internship is to familiarize themselves with the main areas of the archive’s activities and acquire skills and abilities in identifying archival documents.

The classes were organized as part of the «Archives for School» campaign and the «Young Archivist» project and included both a theoretical part and practical classes. In addition, a sightseeing tour of the archive and viewing of documentaries prepared by the Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents, and virtual exhibitions prepared by the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region related to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders and the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War were organized for the children. The results of the work performed were discussed and summed up during the seminar that concluded the internship program.
