Visit to the National Historical Archives of Belarus by employees of the Volozhin Museum of Local History

March 18, 2025. Employees of the Volozhin Museum of Local History visited the National Historical Archives of Belarus. The event was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the death of Benedykt Genrikh Tyszkiewicz (1852–1935), a philanthropist, collector, and photographer of international renown. The count was a representative of the Volozhin line of the Tyszkiewicz family.

The guests were introduced to the history and funds of the archive, as well as the specifics of its activities and main areas of work. Deputy Director Sergei Ryndin gave the guests a tour of the archive and showed them particularly valuable documents stored in the archive.

Aksana Zenko, Head of the Research, Publication, and Exhibition Activities Sector of the Document Use, Information, and Publication Activities Department, demonstrated documents on the history of the Tyszkiewicz family.

The guests showed great interest in the documentary heritage of Belarus and asked numerous questions.
