An event dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus was held in the State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region

On March 14, 2025, a thematic lesson «We are proud of our country» was held in the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Gomel Region» dedicated to the Constitution Day of the Republic of Belarus for students of the educational institution «Gomel State College of Culinary Arts».

During the event, archivists reminded the children of the history of the creation of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, the amendments made to it, its purpose and role in modern society. The children studied the structure of the Constitution, discussed the basic rights, freedoms and responsibilities of citizens of the Republic of Belarus, and also took part in the quiz «Do you know the Law?».

In addition, the archive staff dwelt in detail on Article 15 of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus «The state ensures the preservation of historical truth and the memory of the heroic feat of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War».

In conclusion, a sightseeing tour of the archive was held, during which the children got acquainted with the main areas of its work, and visited the exhibition of archival documents and photographs «Heroes of the Great Victory», which is exhibited in the reading room of the state archive.
