On March 11, 2025, the Vitebsk Regional Palace of Children and Youth hosted the defense of the projects of the regional stage of the national competition of scientific research works on local history of students

The jury of the competition included the head of the department for the use and publication of documents of the State Archives of the Vitebsk Region Vladimir Kokhanko.

In the nominations «History of the Native Land», «Cultural Heritage» and «Geographical Local History» 35 works of students from various parts of the Vitebsk region were presented, reflecting the historical development, cultural achievements and geographical features of different parts of the Vitebsk region.

The best of the presented works were awarded diplomas of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees and recommended for participation in the national final stage of the competition.
