On the excursion for 6th grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.40 of Mogilev» to the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region»

As part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the «Archives for School» campaign, on March 10, 2025, 6th grade students of the State Educational Institution «Secondary School No.40 of Mogilev» visited the institution «State Archive of Public Associations of the Mogilev Region».

During the excursion, the schoolchildren learned about the history of the archive, the main areas of its activities, the work of the use department, the archive funds and the specifics of working with them, the conditions for storing documents, and the equipment of archival storage facilities. They also got acquainted with the presented exhibitions: «Defense of the City of Mogilev», «Partisan Movement», «Young Anti-Fascist Heroes on the Territory of Their Hometown», «80th Anniversary of Victory», «Genocide of the Belarusian People during the Great Patriotic War».

A documentary film was watched: «Liberation of the City of Mogilev», prepared by the «Belarusian State Archive of Film, Photo, and Sound Documents».

As part of this event, a sightseeing tour of the archive storage was held for schoolchildren, during which the children got acquainted with the composition of the stored documents, the mode of their storage.
