On the Eve of March 8, the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno were visited by activists of the women’s club «Suchasnitsa»

On the eve of International Women’s Day, March 8, members of the women’s club «Suchasnitsa» visited the Zonal State Archives in Molodechno. This event was not only a fascinating journey into the past, but also an important reminder of the role of women in the history of the region. «Suchasnitsa» made management decisions in their time, their signatures are on the documents stored by the zonal state archive. They held responsible positions: for example, they were deputy chairmen of the executive committee, headed the registry office, cultural institutions and other sectors of the national economy.

Their orders, reports and plans – all this is an integral part of the history of the region. The activists of the club were able to see with their own eyes the chronicle, which became a living testimony to the professionalism, determination and wisdom of the women who stood at the helm of various spheres of life in the Molodechno district. The guests were also introduced to other documents in the archive.

A fascinating tour of the institution was organized for the club members, during which they learned about how documents are stored and systematized, as well as the importance of archival work for preserving historical memory. Of particular interest was the film lecture hall, where women were able to see rare footage from newsreels, as well as the media project «Archival Bulletin».

The event at the Zonal State Archive was not only educational, but also inspiring. Anna Vladyko, head of the club «Suchasnitsa», noted: «We saw that history is not just the pages of textbooks, but living evidence that inspires us to new achievements. The women whose signatures are on the documents were true leaders of their time, and their example is important today».

The women’s club «Suchasnitsa» continues its active work, creating a space for communication, development and inspiration. And events such as visiting the archive become an important part of this mission, reminding us that every woman is not only the keeper of the family hearth, but also an active participant in public and professional life, capable of changing the world for the better.
